Great vest, very versatile, super easy to adjust to any size; the sizing instructions were perfect. The bird bag is perfect, easy access and big enough for a grouse limit. (5 up here in Quebec) Hip rest saves shoulders! Enjoyed it for our long walks in the woods. We already had molle accessories, but looking forward to buying the easy grab ammo pockets!

Ordered the over/under vest solid blaze orange with waterproof shell pouches, and I received a free t-shirt. I guide upland hunts, I upland hunt in my spare time. The vest is very comfortable. I love the vest and the ability to attach all sorts of stuff to it. And as a bonus I haven't had a single bur that stuck to it. But the best thing ever are the shell pouches, great zipper, strong magnet, I don't see how you could lose a shell ever again. When hunting I leave it unzipped and the magnet does the work. The t-shirt was just a bonus, but it's a cool shirt will definitely be in my regular rotation. Don't be afraid to spend the money on this gear, it's the best on the market.

For all you Canadian folks, this is the best vest I have ever found that comes close to complying to our blaze orange laws! I have been trying to find a good vest that I can use in Ontario for years, but it was nearly impossible to find a good, full-blaze vest. But here it is!
Although I haven't hunted with it yet, it is extremely comfortable and surprisingly lightweight. Everything feels good quality and tough enough to hold up in the thick Aspen, and it has enough storage to carry everything for me and the pup. Overall, this vest is pretty awesome and I can't wait to put it to the test this fall. Just be aware of the duties/taxes if your ordering from Canada, as it will add to your cost a bit.

I ordered the vest and multiple attachments (Waterproof Ammo Box, Quick Grab Ammo Pouch, Gun Stock Rest, Run n' Gun Turkey Seat, Water Bottle Pouch, Waterproof Electronics Pouch, Molle D-Ring) earlier this year and was very impressed with the versatility and quality of the items. I can't wait to use them later this year. The vest has so much customizability and will make it easier to get to the items I bring into the woods with me. My only very minor gripe was that the snap button on the back of the electronics pouch tore at first pull when moving it to a different spot on the vest, but I've found another way to securely attach it to the vest.

I really love my C.U. vest system!
Fits really well, supports the weight just like a hiking backpack which is great (no more sore back/shoulders at the end of the day). I bought it in november and have used it for around 15 outings in dense forests and I can already tell that it is built tough (where I hunt sometimes you can barely see 20 feet in front of you because of the very thick cover).
I highly recommend it!!

Time to buy a new upland vest. My current vest had become faded and the blaze was difficult to see. About this time I had noticed ads on Facebook with new vests capable of adding additional pieces to make it more my own. I spent several days reviewing YouTube and Chief Upland website to understand what I might want in a new vest. I also checked comparative vests from other manufacturers.
I made a couple contacts to Chief Upland with questions. These were always answered quickly and honestly by the owner Jake. About this time there was a sale with significant price cut as a member of Pheasant's Forever. I was able to order the vest and attachments I needed and received the vest less than a week later.
My first hunting experience with the vest was excellent. I did note a couple very minor issues and contacted Chief Upland with my experience. I was pleasantly surprised at being contacted again by the owner about my experience and my issues were quickly addressed. As a lifelong hunter I expect this vest will very likely be the last vest I own. As a retired Quality Assurance manager the vest is obviously well thought out, well built, light weight, easy to use, lots of great features, and yet comfortable enough for all day wear.
Looking forward to many more years in the field - with the right tool for the job. “Chief Upland”

I have had the good fortune of being exposed to the Chief Upland products nearly since inception as Jake was part of a now long term opening weekend hunting group here at Dakota Pheasant Guide, where the Rooster Revolution began here Spink County, South Dakota. Great product and getting better all the time as Jake seriously considers input from hardcore hunters and full-time hunting guides such as myself into each successive generation of offerings. That being said, look forward to guide orientated, "big bird" versions that will come as a result of the findings compiled as part of an upcoming filming trip for Focus Outdoors TV.
